Background:
I’m Lucy, I recently graduated from the University of Oxford in 2024, and I am embarking on a year-long (fairly spontaneous) trip around the world. I grew up in the UK, visiting typical “Brit abroad hotspots” like Spain, Germany and the USA. I am on a mission to see as much as possible, and break away from the stereotypes of the British tourists. Having visited 25 countries across 5 continents, my travel adventures are just beginning, but I have the experience and stories to help other young Brits abroad.
Outside of my travels, I am interested in politics, and work in the charity sectors in Communications and Fundraising. I love finding volunteering opportunities abroad to combine my two passions. I’m a huge fan of music concerts (often returning home purely for a gig).

What is your travel blog?
Our travel blog is a comprehensive resource for young Brits looking to go abroad and have full trips planned, to make travelling as easy as possible. All our trips look at using public transport where possible, and being budget and solo-traveller friendly.
How can your blog help me plan my trip?
Our blog offers detailed itineraries for various destinations, including recommended routes, transportation options, and must-see attractions.
Are your itineraries suitable for solo travelers?
Absolutely! The majority of my trips are solo trips, and I have never found a huge difference between trips alone or in groups.
Can I customise the itineraries to suit my travel needs?
Yes, our itineraries serve as a starting point, but you can customise them based on your preferences. We provide several alternative itineraries to give you a wide range of ideas.
Do you provide recommendations for budget travelers?
Definitely! As a recent graduate, keeping a reasonable budget is always a priority, even when visiting typically expensive countries like Iceland.
